The AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) helps job seekers improve their skills, obtain training, and find a job. If you're 55 or over and meet the income guidelines, we can help you enter-or re-enter-the job market. SCSEP helps you improve your skills and gain work experience and self-confidence so that you can succeed in your job search.

Located in downtown Denver, Samaritan House was built in 1986 and specifically designed and constructed for the homeless. It can accommodate over 320 men, women and children each night. There are separate facilities for single men, single women and families with children. Residents receive a bed, food, clothing and various services on site, including case management, medical care, and referrals for employment, social service assistance and educational opportunities.

The Colorado Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV) is dedicated to the elimination of domestic violence in all of its forms. We recognize that this requires a fundamental change in society's views of gender and gender roles. Through community education, networking and the empowerment of battered women and children, CCADV serves as a forum for social action and the development of services for battered women and their families by bringing its membership and the community together.

The Denver Rescue Mission is changing lives in the name of Christ by meeting people at their physical and spiritual points of need with the goal of returning them to society as productive, self-sufficient citizens. During the year, the Denver Rescue Mission provides shelter, food, clothing, education, Christian teaching, and work discipline to meet individuals at their physical and spiritual points of need.

Since 1976, Family Tree has provided a broad range of services and shelter to families and youth of metro Denver to overcome child abuse, domestic violence and homelessness. Last year, Family Tree provided services to more than 32,000 people, including more than 23,000 nights of safe shelter to families and individuals who might otherwise be homeless. The mission of Family Tree is to help people overcome child abuse, domestic violence and homelessness to become safe, strong and self-reliant.

Hope Communities, Inc. is devoted to providing the resources people need to improve their lives and community. We promote progress towards a diverse, healthy community generating affordable housing, economic opportunity, personal empowerment and spiritual wholeness.

JAG-Colorado, Inc. is a program designed to help youth stay in school through graduation and obtain the skills they need to transition successfully into the workforce or post-secondary education. It is based on a comprehensive program of services (including classroom instruction, mentoring, tutoring, work based learning, leadership development) provided during the school day, after school, and for 12 months following graduation.

Lowry Family Center (LFC) enriches entire families through partnership and services that create a safe, healthy and connected community and is the only non-profit organization providing comprehensive family support, youth development and adult education services to families in northeast Denver and northern Aurora.

As a faith-based, non-profit organization, the mission of Rocky Mountain Housing Development Corporation, Inc. is to change lives by providing housing and related supportive services that engender a safe environment and teach community skills for families with very low to moderate incomes.

St. Francis Center (SFC) is a refuge for men and women who are homeless in the metro Denver area, providing services that enable people to meet their basic needs for daily survival and to transition out of homelessness. It is a safe, inviting place to be during the day when other shelters are unavailable. Our staff includes a social worker, nurse, mental health counselor and employment specialist and each of them is available to assist SFC guests with their concerns. More than anything else, St. Francis Center offers hope when it is needed most.

The Gathering Place is Denver's only daytime drop-in center for women and children who are experiencing homelessness or poverty. The Gathering Place exists to offer women a safe haven, resources for self-sufficiency and opportunities to acquire new skills. Women who are able to meet their immediate and urgent needs can then collect their inner resources and make positive life changes for themselves and their children.

The Turnabout career and education preparation program, located in the heart of Denver, is an outreach service helping men and women turn their lives around. Turnabout provides support for Denver's disadvantaged job seekers through occupational and life-skills training to help them move from self-doubt and despair to a future of self-sufficiency, hope and dignity. Turnabout strives to lower obstacles for those who are disadvantaged, reduce the recidivism rate for ex-offenders, and offer career and education assistance leading to full-time employment and a new outlook on life.
