Job Summary: |
The Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine has a faculty position available at the rank of Instructor for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). Under the direction of the full-time faculty or designee, this position provides medical care for patients on the overnight inpatient surgical specialty services at the University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus. The Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado Hospital is a high-volume, high-acuity surgical service. The candidate will be expected to provide focused coverage of Plastic Surgery, Burn Surgery, and Urology services. The role will include cross-training and procedural training on selected services. Clinical duties will include care of inpatient surgical patients, bedside procedures, inpatient consults, and ED admissions of the subspecialty surgical services, but will also have the autonomy of being the frontline inpatient provider for their service. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $99,819 to $140,566 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
