Job Summary: |
The Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine has (2) full-time faculty position available at the rank of Instructor for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). Under the direction of the full-time faculty or designee, this position provides medical care for patients on the overnight inpatient surgical specialty services at the University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus. The Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado Hospital is a high volume, high acuity surgical service. The candidate will be expected to provide focused coverage of the Cardiac Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Thoracic Surgery services. The role will include cross training on selected services. Clinical duties will include care of inpatient surgical patients, inpatient consults, and ED admissions of the subspecialty surgical services. The candidate with be part of an interprofessional team which includes, APPs, residents, fellows and attending physicians but will also have the autonomy of being the front line inpatient provider for their service. Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $99,000-$135,000. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
