Job Description:

The Therapist is responsible for direct patient care including diagnostic, assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for children and their families.

Scope

Promotes mission, vision, tenets and values of Mount Saint Vincent, and abides by service behavior standards.

  • Provides consistent therapy for patients and their families. This will include individual psychotherapy and family therapy. Modalities utilized may include TF-CBT, CBT, EMDR, PCIT, play therapy as well as others.
  • Conducts comprehensive diagnostic behavioral health evaluations. Writes reports including initial evaluations/assessments, treatment plans, treatment notes, discharge plans, as well as all other required documentation.
  • Monitors caseload for treatment progress or regression and update treatment plans as necessary in compliance with agency timelines.
  • Collaborates and consults with appropriate stakeholders. Provides case management for the patients and families on your caseload.
  • Responsible for discharge planning, providing aftercare recommendations, and providing aftercare referrals as appropriate.
  • Accepts patients and families referred for treatment in an expeditious manner. Attends, actively contributes to, and/or facilitates required meetings.
  • Maintains compliance with agency policies/guidelines and regulatory standards. Is sensitive to the cultural differences among the children, families and staff and responds appropriately and sensitively to those differences.
  • May provide supervision to interns or licensure candidates, if meets requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need. May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related mental health field
  • Training in child development, psychotherapy, family dynamics, systems and cultural differences State licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
  • Must keep on file a positive driving motor vehicle (DMV) record to be updated annually. Must keep on file proof of current automobile insurance coverage to be updated annually. Must keep on file a copy of a valid and current Colorado drivers license. Colorado law requires that anyone working in the State of Colorado must have a Colorado drivers license within 30 days of employment.
  • This position must successfully obtain and maintain all certifications as assigned including CPR, First Aid, and Universal Precautions within 90 days of hire.
  • This position must successfully complete and maintain current trainings as assigned (e g , Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI)) within 90 days of hire.
  • At least one (1) year relevant experience.

Preferred

  • At least two (2) years relevant experience

  • Computer Skills: Advanced utilization of a variety of software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Google Suite, and Excel.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
